We invite you to enjoy our pleasant tropical gardens and meet and interact with our complex, social, and lively parrot residents. You will be amazed and entertained by the sights, sounds, and intelligent rapport. With easy access and parking, we are located just two hours northwest of Los Angeles in Summerland, CA, off the coastal 101 Freeway, a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean.
Have a chat with the cockatoos! You might catch them saying "Hi!" or "I love you!"

Docent-led tours are available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between 10 am -3:30 pm (weather permitting)

Fees for docent-led tour:
$30 per adult
$20 per child (12 & under)

We kindly ask that all young children stay with or be held my their parents at all times.

Please inquire for groups exceeding 15 people

​1 - 25 people will be escorted by one of our knowledgable docents for a tour lasting 45 minutes.
​
Docents will answer questions, tell you stories, and supply interesting facts as you stroll through the tropical gardens of the Sanctuary.
You will get the opportunity to handle a few of our avian ambassadors along the way.
​
At the end of the tour, you will have time to wander and revisit some of our residents! You can also checkout our gift shop to purchase Sanctuary keepsakes.

For a truly special party-like experience on the patio with the parrots, book a Behind The Scenes program hosted by the Sanctuary Director! You’ll get lots of educational information and plenty of hands on interaction with the birds, followed by a group photo opportunity to commemorate your visit. This also includes a tour led by one of our docents. This is an event you’ll long remember!
